
One Mr. Ibiteye Bamidele, a bureau Dr change operator who was in remission by the National Drug enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for being in possession of the $2.1m money suspected to be laundered, had connected the fund to the ex-NHIS boss.
The suspect was said to be wanted by the EFCC on Thursday on the suspicion that he had absconded to evade justice.
But Thomas, a former Commissioner for Health in Ekiti State voluntarily submitted himself for interrogation on weekday at EFCC Headquarters in Abuja however said that he was not guilty of the charge nor going to run away because he didn't get any invite from the anti-graft agency.
Dressed in a white brocade, Dr. Thomas arrived the EFCC around 10: am was interrogated by the commission's operative to determine his level of guilt.
He was discharged at concerning 2:pm. However, the EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren couldn't be reached as at press time to substantiate the interrogation.
