Mahamat Moustapha,said to be the mastermind of most Boko Harma operations including the purchase of arms in
Chad and northern Cameroon was arrested on Friday afternoon.

Mahamat Moustapha known to some as Bana Fanaye , is declared by Chadian authorities as the mastermind of Boko Haram operations in Chad and northern Cameroon, has been arrested by authorities in Chad.

Cell phones and over 50 SIM cards from different network service providers for various countries,like Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger were recovered from his residence alongside assorted weapons as reported by CameroonJournal.

Weapons of different range and high tech communication gadgets were found in his house.His arrest helped security forces locate other Boko Haram members housed in an area called Diguel Diguessou in the 8th district, the report said. Many of them were killed in the process.

Chadian officials say that Mahamat Moustapha is in charge of recruiting Boko Haram terrorists, arms purchases and planning of terrorism targets and operations in Chad and northern Cameroon according to  media reports
