The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have retired all the Group Executive Directors (GEDs) with immediate effect.

This development was brought to public notice only one day after President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as the Group Managing Director of the NNPC.

According to reports from SaharaReporters, Kachikwu has made known his plans of reducing the numbers of the Group Executive Directors from nine to four.

The retired GEDs are Mr. Ian Udoh who heads Refining and Petrochemicals, Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba who heads Engineering and Technical team, Dr. David Ige who heads Gas and Power, Dr. Attahir Yusuf who heads Business Development; Dr. Dan Efebo who head Corporate Services, Mr. Bernard Otti in charge of Finance and Accounts, Ms. Aisha Abdurrahman heading Commerce and Investments, and Mr. Joseph Dawha who heads Exploration and Production.

It would be recalled that all the aforementioned GEDs were all appointed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in March, 2014.
