A
west Houston man has been accused of prostituting a 4-year-old girl when he
appeard before a Judge Monday morning.
The
accused named Andrew Turley, 28, arrested on Thursday, was charged with trafficking
a toddler and prostituting a minor.
Undercover
officers with the Houston police department detected an advertisement on
Craigslist providing "daddy's little girl" for sex in exchange
for cash.
They
got in touch with the person promoting the ad and chat over about sixty emails
up till November. 12.
Prosecutors
say Turley allegedly offered 2 hours with the girl in exchange for $1,000, and
a meeting was organized.
The
undercover officers arrived at the meeting location; and they found the girl
naked beneath a blanket. She was in an exceedingly foggy state and perceived to
have been drugged; police said. Turley was immediately placed under arrest.
The
Judge ordered him to a restricted contact with the victim or any child, and no
access to the web and Bond was set at $500,000 for every count.
"These
are cases Harris County takes very seriously. Obviously we think this is a very
important matter and why the case is set so high and why the bond is set so
high on this defendant," said Ann Johnson, prosecutor.
If
condemned, Turley faces between five and ninety nine years, or life in jail.
