No doubts, Facebook has been one of the most useful social media networks since its inception.
However, Facebook recently updated its Terms and Conditions, and there are lots of changes that's meant to go down the drain considering this new development. This is because whether you agree or not, as a Facebook user, you are already in the picture. Should you worry or not about the new private data security or not?....only time will tell.
The new development which is going to be in full force by January 2015 is in two parts....
1. What You Can Control Facebook users can control what data they share with friends (by selecting audiences, such as Friends, or Public, or Only Me from Facebook’s privacy menus, or from the drop-down menus on individual posts).
2. What You Cannot Control
Facebook collects GPS data which is used to see if friends are nearby, or to target adverts to the user. Any information on every web page people visit while logged in, and from every app people have logged into using their Facebook details are also available for social network.
The goal of collecting such information is to target advertising more effectively. However, critics argue that actually the network could keep the data as long as it wants, and to use it in any way it desires which might obviously be stepping a foot over the rights of users.
However, Facebook has given users a straight-faced solution:
There’s not a great deal of choice: Facebook itself suggests you either Deactivate your account or Delete it altogether if you don’t like the new conditions. Now, do you think you should worry or not??
We should worry ooo...so Facebook will be able to track my location now??
