Air
commodore Yusuf Anas, the executive secretary of the Centre for Crisis Communication
(CCC), the organisation acting as the intermediary between Federal government and
Boko Haram, on Wed told Channels tv that he got a message from Boko Haram stating
“they are tired of fighting and are ready for a quick deal to end the war”.
He
stated that though the insurgents aren't requesting financial compensation as a
pre-condition for surrendering their arms, they're seeking real commitment from
government in the current negotiations.
Air
commodore Yusuf Anas claimed that some Boko Haram parts had approached the Centre
for Crisis Communication to assist facilitates negotiations between them and
the FG in August 2015.
He
applauded the Federal Government’s disposition to dialogue with the real
leaders of the foreign terrorist organization, adding that the Centre for
Crisis Communication believes that the new position has become imperative
see able of the actual fact that military choice alone has not resolved the
problem.
