In an interview
with an Abuja magazine, THE INTERVIEW, Popular pastor, Tunde Bakare said he was
offered money by Goodluck Jonathan and his aides.
It would be recalled that Tunde Bakare was the running mate of
President Buhari during the 2011 elections which Buhari lost to GEJ.
In the interview, Bakare said after a meeting with President
Jonathan a former minister in charge of the Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe,
approached him and gave him some cash, which he turned down.
He also said Mr. Orubebe sent him cow for Christmas which he
ordered to be killed for the staff.
Pastor Bakare who said all pastors that received one gift or the
other from President Jonathan to speak out now said "I don’t know
if any of those allegations were true, but I have seen enough to begin to think
that they were not able to use our overwhelming influence. If you have
benefited from evil, you cannot talk about it, nor criticize it. Let everyone
declare what he has received"
