NDLEA Arrest Bureau de Change Operators That Swallowed $156,000 To Export

The National Drug enforcement Agency (NDLEA) officials yesterday arrested a Bureau de Change operator and 5 other suspected members for allegedly swallowing $156,000 at Excel Oriental Hotel along Airport Road, Lagos.
Speaking on the arrest, Chairman of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade, stated that the suspects had been arrested in reference to swallowing $156,000.
The suspects were caught at the hotel as they were busy swallowing the massive sums of cash with the intention of exporting the aforementioned quantity of cash to Brazil.
Giade, who gave his words to hunt down smuggled narcotics and currency, warned that operators of Bureau de Change who fail to operate within the law guiding them would be severely sanctioned, enumerating that: “The agency will continue to rely on manpower training and intelligence-led drug control strategies to out-wit criminal syndicates.”

‘’We shall take affordable measures to dislodge drug cartels and eradicate narcotics from our society. Any of Bureau de Change operators that violate the law shall be penalized consequently.”
