WOMAN GETS ELECTROCUTED WHILE USING AN ATM


A Chinese lady had an electric shock last weekend as she tried to withdraw cash out of an ATM.
The unsuspecting 23-year-old, referred to as Xiao Liu, was inputting her PIN code into an automatic teller machine in Xi'an, North West China, when a surge of electricity ran through her body.

The electric shock sent two hundred volts round the female body. Humans will solely handle thirty six volts safely.The electricity passed from Liu's hand to her body, feat her right arm numb and sore.

Liu was forced to the ground by the impact of the shock from the China Everbright Bank ATM,only to realize that she was bleeding and fingernails on her right thumb and finger were broken and Her card had been taken by the machine.
Upon recovery after some minutes, Xiao Liu had to find her way to an hospital in the neighborhood for treatment.




A doctor attended the injuries and assured Liu that the fingernails would grow back on their own.
However, the incident that happened on Sunday evening had a long-lasting impact on Liu whose work needs her to make phone calls and record clients' info.
Her disabled right arm stopped her from writing properly and Liu was forced to require leave of absence.
Mr Liu, an executive from the China Ever bright Bank apologized for the accident and aforementioned that the bank would compensate the girl by paying for her medical treatment.
He stated that the ATM machine had been put in for over a year and it’s powered from the eye wear store wherever it had been installed.
The bank has 2 other machines that is installed outside the eye wear store, were conjointly tested.
However, it had been found that they didn't transmit electric surge.
The reason behind the malfunction in presently unknown and therefore the ATM point is undergoing investigation.

The ATM has since been closed.
