MAJEK FASHEK ADMITTED IN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT


News going round says that the popular Nigerian born reggae singer, Majek Fashek, has been admitted at a rehabilitation centre in Abuja.
The singer, who through his songs inspired a lot of people in and outside the shores of Nigeria in the eighties and nineties, is reported by Premium Times to have been admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the rehab center in Abuja. He is said to be responding perfectly to treatment.


The multi-talented Majek’s latest rehab stint was occur once an opportunity meeting with a devotee that was greatly surprised by the Rainmaker’s frail state. Joseph Edgar, an investment banker and blogger, bumped into the Nigerian music legend mendicancy for N100 to shop for native gin (Ogogoro) in Lagos.

Joseph Edgar took an image, which he shared on the internet alongside a post particularizing his dismay at the poor state the singer was in. The infective agent post and film got the eye of different fans of the Majek, particularly many within the US wherever Majek once went traveling on tour and reportedly developed an addiction to hard drug.
