Okagbare Changes Her Mind As She Sets Off To The All African Games

Africa's Fastest Woman, Blessing Okagbare is set to participate in the All Africa Games starting this weekend in Congo, Brazzaville.

After reports that she withdrew from the 200m and 4x100m events of the IAAF Championship in Beijing, China, the double Commonwealth Games sprint gold medalist had planned that she would not perform at the All Africa Games. However, there were reports in the media that she had been banned by the NSC and AFN.

A source in the Team Nigeria Camp in Abuja however revealed that Blessing is set to join up with the last batch set to leave for Congo this afternoon.

“I can reveal to you that Blessing (Okagbare) will be part of our team travelling to Congo tomorrow (Thursday). She has had a change of heart and is now ready to compete in the 100m, long jump and the 4x100m relay events at the All Africa Games” the source said
