Five Pregnant Teenagers, Babies Rescued From ‘Maternity Home’ In Enugu

Following the information received by the men of the Central Police Station, Enugu over an illegal operations of a supposed maternity home, five pregnant girls, alongside nine babies below age one where recovered from the home named Daughters of Divine Home Pro-live, in Aria Road, Enugu on August 21.

According to reports by the Vanguard, the home was visited by the police following a leading information gotten from sources.


Word from a police source has it that the Anti-Child Trafficking Unit of the State Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department, CIID are being assisted by the victims to carry out its investigation process.

A certain Reverend Sister alleged to be the owner of the home, claims that approval from relevant quarters to run the home was given her, she said approval had not been produced at press time. 

A university undergraduate said to be in her second year is said to own one of the recovered babies, alleging that she gave birth at the home for safe keeping.
