President
Mohammadu Buhari has proclaimed that there would be no National delegation for
this year’s hajj to Saudi Arabia. With this new development, the govt. would
save about N30m in Naira.
He
stated that the govt. shall play its statutory role of providing health,
security and diplomatic
services to Nigerian pilgrims.
Malam
Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and
publicity, stated this on Monday quoting the president as spoken communication
that the choice wasn't targeted at any person or cluster.
He
said that the states can do that on their own but the federal government won’t
be involved this year.
