At
least fifty people were reportedly killed while ninety five critically
sustained injuries as a result of multiple explosions that rocked Ajilari
Railway Cross and Bintu Sugar suburbs of Maiduguri, the Borno state.

from National and International Humanitarian agencies that participated within
the evacuation of the victims told Vanguard Correspondent.
The
Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman in an
interview with Journalists confirmed the multiple blasts but insisted that the
number of casualties is yet to be ascertained.
Other
hospital sources estimate the death toll to be over sixty as several of the
victims couldn't survive it as they died as they were receiving treatment this morning.
The
explosions that were suspected to have been masterminded by suicide bombers as
it occurred at the same time at around 7:38pm, whereas the last four went off at
about 8pm that has forced several residents to escape into main town for
safety.
A
lucky survivor primarily based in Alilari and work with one of nation’s
humanitarian agency told Vanguard Correspondent on phone that the first bomb incident
occurred at a well-known telecommunication service post wherever many folks
gather to buy/sale GSM recharge cards and different petty businesses.
Colonel
Sani cautioned residents of Maiduguri and its environs to be watchful and report any suspicious
movement to security agencies.
