Nigeria’s Power generation Close to 5,000MegaWatt - PHCN

In a statement signed by the manager, System/Market Operation of TCN, Mr. Dipak Sarma and given to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.

The management of  Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), aforementioned in Abuja that it had earned new peak of 4,810.7 megawatts of generated electricity.

The statement stated that 4,810.7MW of electricity production was achieved on Aug. 25th following a target set on Tuesday when they achieved generation of 4,748megawatt.
It read that these successes were as a result of the joint contributions of the gas firms, generation firms, distribution firms and also the Transmission Company of Nigeria.
According to the statement, the manager of TCN, Mr. Paul Stefiszyn, said: “The FG has been the backbone in coordinating the activities of the sector across the value chain.’’

It expressed that the sector is currently aimed toward achieving 5,000 megawatts in an exceedingly short time, adding that this could be a vital milestone for the nation’s economy
