Nigeria's
military on Sunday said it had made important breakthrough within the fight
against Boko Haram and captured twenty outstanding members of the militant
Muslim cluster suspect for perpetrating deadly attacks.
The Department of State Services (DSS) aforementioned on Sunday that twenty "notable commanders and front line members" of the Jihadist cluster had been captured in Kano, Lagos, Plateau, Gombe and Enugu state between 8th of July to 25th of August.
President
Buhari has made stopping the activities of Boko Haram that has lingered for 6 years
of utmost importance; however a Reuters tally shows the militants have killed
over 700 individuals in Nigeria in bomb attacks and shootings since he became president
on the 29th of May.
The
DSS said that a number of those it arrested had made some confessions in line with
different attacks that has rocked different cities in Nigeria.
