According to Vanguard, the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has declared that there will be a new sexually transmitted disease this year 2016 and that there will be economic improvements as natural disasters will also be on the increase due to ungodly laws passed by governments.
Adeboye made the prophecies during the Cross Over Service at the Redemption Camp.

Ahead Of New Year Celebrations,Dubai Skyscraper Hotel Gut by Fire

The Address Downtown Dubai hotel  was gutted by fire this evening. At least 16 people were reported injured by officials after a huge blaze broke out from the 20th floor of the hotel. The incident occurred few hours before New Year’s Eve fireworks was supposed to kick off at the nearby Burj Khalifa which is the world's tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, where crowds assembled to watch the fireworks display.

A South African King Who Is A Nephew Of The Late Nelson Mandela Sentenced To 12 Years In Jail

A South African king who is a nephew of the late Nelson Mandela has begun a 12-year prison sentence for kidnapping, assault and arson.
King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo reported to prison after his legal attempts to overturn his conviction failed.
The case against King Dalindyebo was related to a dispute he had with some of his subjects about two decades ago.
He comes from the Thembu clan, to which Mr Mandela, South Africa's first black president, belonged.
He is the first monarch to be jailed in South Africa since minority rule ended in 1994.
King Dalindyebo, 51, ascended to the throne in 1989, and has about 700,000 subjects.

British actors Idris Elba and David Oyelowo were on Yesterday Dec. 30^th honored by Queen Elizabeth as both received Order of the British Empire Titles (OBE) for their achievement on the big screen.

Oyelowo cmment on the award saying: "To be honored by the Queen in this way having been aided by her son's charity feels like a beautiful full-circle moment”.

“Awards and honors come in all shapes and sizes and all as significant as the other,"

"But this is beyond special as it comes from Queen and country, and I couldn't be more proud for receiving this right now. What a year. On me head son!" Idris Elba Said.

An Air India flight heading for the United Kingdom had to turn back once a rat was seen on board, passengers say.

Flight AI 131 was heading to London from urban center Mumbai on Wednesday when the rat was reported seen.

Federal Government Reduces Petrol Price By 50k

The Federal Government, on Tuesday disclosed that effective January 1, 2016, Petrol would be sold at N86 per litre by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC Retail stations, while other oil marketers would sell at N86.50 per litre.

This in turn means that Nigerians would get a price reduction of 50k to N1 depending where they buy from.

The Nigerian Labour Congress said, however, that it would resist with all its might, any attempt to remove fuel subsidy.

Discovered : MTN Masts Was Used To Install Radio Biafra Transmitters

According to Naijaparrot, the Federal Government of Nigeria has said that the transmitters for Radio Biafra, a rogue radio station transmitting secessionist messages were found to be installed on MTN masts in Enugu and Anambra states.

This is according to government’s case summary of the fresh six counts of treason and other ancillary offences instituted against the founder of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, and two others, before the Federal High Court in Abuja.

One of the two other defendants in the six counts filed by the Federal Government is a field maintenance engineer, David Nwawuisi, charged with the responsibility of maintaining the MTN masts in Enugu State

Police Escort To Be Detached From VIPs - IG

Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Inspector-General Police, have concluded arrangements to enforce the presidential directive on the withdrawal of policemen from Very Important Personalities (VIPs) who are not entitled to their services.
This is contained in statement issued by Mr Ikechukwu Ani, the Head, Press and Public Relations of the commission, in Abuja on Tuesday.
It stated that a high level monitoring team had been deployed to the nation’s airports, highways and other public places to enforce the presidential directive.
The statement stated that the Chairman of the commission, Mr Mike Okiro, said the team had the powers to stop VIPs’ on the highways and airports to confirm their status.
