Amazing “Death Experience” School Helps Depressed People Appreciate Life by Locking Them in Coffins

A new treatment for patients that might be considering suicide in South Korea involves locking them up in coffins. The faux “death experience” apparently helps students appreciate life more when faced with a make believe of their last moments.

Participants at the centre come from all walks of life, together with teenagers who are faced with pressure at college, older folks experiencing isolation, and the aged who are scared of changing into a monetary burden on their families. All of them wear white robes and get into coffins organized in rows. Beside every coffin would be a little table with pens and paper.
Students sit within the coffins and hear a brief talk by Jeong Yong-mun, a former funeral employee who is currently the top of the healing centre. He explains to them that they must see their issues as part of life and reach for joy within the most troublesome things.
