The
Federal High Court in Abuja has granted a N600 million bail to the previous
National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Dr. Haliru Bello and
his son, Abba. the 2 face a 4-count criminal charge bordering on alleged N300
million fraud.
The
presiding choose, Justice Ahmed Mohammed delivering judgment on their bail
application, ordered the pair to pay N300million each alongside 2 sureties each in equal sum.
One
of the persons to stand surety for the previous PDP chairman should be a
Director in a federal government establishment or any of its agencies whereas
the son was requested to provide somebody not below grade level 12 to stand
surety for him.
