The
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) yesterday 9th of
Dec. issued a Certificate of Return to the
Governor Elect of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Alhaji
Yahaya Bello who replaced the late Mr Abubakar Audu, defeated the incumbent,
Governor Idris Wada, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In
declaring the results of the election, the Returning Officer of INEC, Professor
Emmanuel Kucha, said the APC’s candidate polled 247,752 to defeat Captain Wada
who got 204,877 votes.
