Why Rotimi Ameachi Would Not Be Screened Today

The higher chamber of the National Assembly has once more excluded the name of embattled Rivers former Governor, Rotimi Ameachi, from today’s screening.

From the order book of the Senate, it had been gathered that solely 3 of the nominees are going to be showing before the lawmakers for screening as ministers.

Meanwhile, DAILY POST correspondent reports that there's confusion within the Senate at the primary version of the order book had eight ministerial nominees including Rotimi Amaechi, however was quickly replaced with another one leaving out his name.

The latest one circulated as the Senate begins plenary has only the following names:

Barrister Shittu Adebayo

Claudius Omoleye Daramola

Khadija Abba Ibrahim

However, the Senate has declared that Rotimi Amaechi will be at the chamber on Wednesday for his screening.

This was revealed by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, Dino Melaye.
