The
Chairman of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee,Barrister
Chris Green, has hinted on the possibility of Emmanuel Amuneke the U-20 coach,
replacing Sunday Oliseh as the coach of Super Eagles.
Emmanuel
Amuneke was promoted to handle the Flying Eagles by the NFF Executive Committee
this week, upon winning the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
Green
disclosed provided Emmanuel Amuneke continues to deliver impressive results; he
might yet be promoted to take over the senior team.
He
is quoted to have said:
“If
Amuneke performs very well in his new assignment and delivers the U-20 World
Cup for us, I believe everybody will want him to handle the senior team. It is
a possibility that we cannot ignore,” he said.
The
lawyer also piled more pressure on the embattled Oliseh, stating that he has to
perform or he will go.
“For
Oliseh, if he continues to do well, he remains. If not, he will go,” Green
said.
